Infertility-Queries and Answers

Infertility-- Queries and Answers
Dear Dr. Bibbi,
The rate of barrenness among the women of these days is highly alarming!!!I believe it is right time to investigate the causes of this so-called barrenness and remedies to solve the problem. Well, I have succeeded in getting some factors responsible for barrenness but I just want to confirm the reliability of those factors and to seek your advice. I therefore ask you the following questions hoping that every information you supply to me is reliable. 1. Are some women barren from birth? 1b.If yes, what advice do you have for such women? 2. After medical test, it was declared that the inability of a certain woman to conceive is as a result of her husband's impotency, please doctor, what advice do you have for such couples? 3. Could it be that some women are barren owing to God's deliberate act for His glory? 4. Can forces of darkness (or say hex) be responsible for barrenness? What advice do you have for such couples? 5. Can barrenness be as a result of curse on either of the couples? What advice do you have for the couples? 6. Could it be possible that either couple used the woman's womb for ritual sacrifices? b. If yes, what advice do you have for the couples so that they can conceive? 7. It has been confirmed that careless abortion is a contributing factor to barrenness. In what ways can this be corrected? 8. Could psychological problems (such as bitterness of mind, lack of peace, etc) be responsible for barrenness? b) If yes, what advice do you have for such woman?
I remain yours,
Comrade Babs J O,
Ilofa, Kwara
Dear Babs,
Except for 1 and 3, you are right in all your suppositions. Thorough interviews, appropriate physical examinations, deep psychological counseling along with pinpoint and guided prayers and the manifest help of God cure bareness-- "He maketh the barren woman to be a joyful mother of children" -- Psalm 113 verse 9. God does not cause barrenness and he never made a person barren from birth. Doctors, gynecologists, urologists, reproductory endocrinologists, and other types of fertility experts will help. IVF specialists too. Prayers and priests should not be forgotten. Psychologists are useful because depression -- for one -- is very common in infertility. If you suspect any of these factors in your case, call the helplines-- 2348033466574,2348057441699,2348028240983,2348093142261 Cheers

Weight Reduction Problems

Weight Reduction Problems
Dear Doctor,
I'm a favourite and admirer of your column in the Sun on Thursday. However, can you please offer answers to these questions of mine:* Does Cold water add to one’s body weight and fatness?* How can one necessary shed weight if it has been a family identity/heritage?* Does beer, soft drink and junk food adds to fatness?* Apart from body exercise, what other ways can one use in reducing fatness?* What drug(s) can one use to combat this, if any? With little or no side effects?
Thank you,
Franklyn Nagogo, Katsina-Ala

Dear Franklyn,
Cold water does not cause weight gain. Just forget the notion—there’s absolutely no physiological or medical connection between taking or bathing with cold water and getting fat. No way.Just forget it.To loose weight follow the pieces of advice: Let's mention seven briefly 1. Exercise 2. Starvation 3.Dieting 4.Obesity Surgery--the most effective of the lot because it takes care of the real reason for obesity which is over-eating by cutting off a good portion of the patient's stomach so that even after the intervention(surgery) they do not go back to their overeating 5.Slimming teas, herbs and other alternative methods 6. Amphetamines which are medicinal agents to suppress appetite (beware--they can cause addiction) 7. A new anti-obesity drug by a leading Pharmaceutical company that's really effective, too. The drug is a prescription drug so I will not be able to give you the name but I’m sure you can ask at a pharmacist’s.You must also understand that there are two major things that control a person’s weight. These are Nature and Nurture. Family inheritance, constitution, body build and one’s God-given endowment which we sum up as Nature takes a whopping 80 per cent of the final results. The things I mention above can help with Nurture—just about 20 per cent. The approach of obesity surgery above is to combine an attack on both Nature (the craving some people have for food which is natural to them) and Nurture (helps reduce food intake –"starvation" of sorts. This surgery is available in Nigeria and can work wonders for you if you require it.However, because surgery is not so attractive an option, alternatives in herbs, teas, vitamins are available that will do a perfect job without starving you. There's a combination of a natural oil, a fruit and a vegetable very accessible here in this country that will cure obesity without any stress.Just call the help-lines. Yes, beer, soft-drinks and junk foods are not good for your weight.
Cheers

Great God Of Love

1.You either believe in God or you say you don't--when you refuse to believe in God, the truth is God Himself refuses to believe in you. 2.When you believe in God, you soon understand that He is very, very great--in fact, awesome 3.The idolater says because God is too awesome,I cannot approach Him --and He is right--I will prefer to go through intermediaries--here,unfortunately,he is very, very --in fact, fatally, wrong 4.The Muslim says, You see God is so great, I am really nothing -- true-- and thus I can only be or relate to Him as a slave (very, very wrong) 5.The human being who is serious and thinks deeply, knows there is a God. Knows he cannot approach Him. Knows He is no better than a slave 6.But the good news, the Gospel of Jesus Christ says, don't approach to God, because, wonder of all wonders, this great God has Himself, by Himself and of Himself already approached man and this approach is that of LOVE. 7.For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him,shall not perish but has everlasting life. 8.The good news says, you dont have to do a thing, God has done it all for you. You dont have to be a slave, God wants you as a Son. 9.You are like the slave girl that the great king woos and marries and then for love, forbids her to do anything at all in the palace; God has done it all for you 10.All you need to do is ask;claim and praise

Obasanjo the Hypocrite

As Time marches on, it becomes clearer just how tragic the presidency of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo really was. In a speech last week, he dismissed Nigerian leaders who were not good enough. Everyone but he. And then he dismissed Nigerians for not finding him to have been exceptional. If Nigerians were yet to find a leader worthy of commendation after 53 years of independence, he declared, “Then we are jinxed and cursed; we should all go to hell.” No, Chief, I humbly disagree. Only dishonest and unpatriotic leaders qualify for perdition. Obasanjo was wielding his weapons in front of a captive crowd at the University of Ibadan. He cited as very bad boys such people as Atiku Abubakar, who served as Vice-President in his administration; Salisu Buhari, a certificate-forging former Speaker of the House of Representatives recently appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan into the Governing Council of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; and former governors Bola Tinubu, Deprieye Alamieyeseigha, James Ibori and Lucky Igbinedion. “Abacha, my predecessor got $750m. Through our lawyer in Switzerland we recovered $1.25bn and the lawyer still said there is probably still another $1bn to be recovered…” Actually, Abacha was not Obasanjo’s predecessor, except perhaps in duplicity. In between them, in temporal terms, there was one Abdusallam Abubakar. But Obasanjo, The Hypocrite, has no commitment to facts or to History. Not once, during his imperious History lesson last week, did he refer to the bad seeds he sowed or the waters he poisoned or the children he starved. But his are the shark-infested waters in which we now sink, and for as long as he tries to write the history of Nigeria to suit his bloated ego, we must never tire of reminding the world of the true story. Here are just 10 elements: Obasanjo, The Hypocrite, benefitted the most from the elections of 2003 and 2007, which local and international observers complained were rigged. Obasanjo was his own Minister of Petroleum Resources throughout his tenure, without accountability, and it was during that watch that the dirty practices now being unveiled by various probe panes started. In the famous case of Works Minister Tony Anenih, The Hypocrite complained he had budgeted N300 billion for roads during his first term, but he never asked “Mr. Fix-It” about the money. Obasanjo saw no contradiction in using the Petroleum Trust Development Fund as his own ATM. Obasanjo brags about recovering up to $2.5 billion from Abacha alone; he never says anything about how the money disappeared. Obasanjo has not said one word about the injustice of Anambra’s horrendous Okija Shrine or the report of the federal high-level panel that he suppressed. Obasanjo says nothing about the assassinations during his tenure that included the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Bola Ige. Obasanjo says nothing about the Haliburton scandal, for which various reports have indicted him, or about his so-called “anti-corruption” agencies which only targeted his enemies. Obasanjo’s economic reform, NEEDS, died within months of being launched, and he never mentioned it again. Obasanjo spent between $10 and $16 billion under the ruse of an electricity scheme; some of those he paid allegedly did not even clear a patch of land. All of this is despite his arriving in office in 1999 swearing he would be different. At his inauguration, he told Nigerians: “You have been asked many times in the past to make sacrifices and to be patient. I am also going to ask you to make sacrifices, and to exercise patience. The difference will be that in the past sacrifices were made and patience exercised with little or no results. This time, however, the results of your sacrifice and patience will be clear and manifest for all to see…I will give the forthright, purposeful, committed, honest and transparent leadership that the situation demands…” Never has more sordid falsehood been uttered. When the 2003 rigging was completed, he returned to the microphone at his inauguration and said, “I have repeatedly called for moral rectitude, and I will continue to repeat the message. I simply refuse to accept the cynical view that Nigerians prefer chaos to order. I cannot endorse the view that Nigerians are innately corrupt…We all have a stake in Enterprise Nigeria and each of us stands a better chance in getting optimum dividends if, instead of asking "What's in it for me", we ask "what's in it for Nigeria…" But Obasanjo, The Hypocrite, saw nothing wrong with establishing Transcorp and using it to enrich himself. He saw no contradiction in his cabinet approving money-making schemes for him. Later, somebody asked General Victor Malu, a former Chief of Army Staff, to assess Obasanjo’s government. “In few words, it is the worst government that I have seen in this country,” the General replied. “And I am 58 years old. I have never seen a government that is so reckless in everything. It disrespects the wishes of the people, disobeys the rules or the constitution, disobeys court judgements, including the Supreme Court. I don’t think it has happened before.” How insufferable was Obasanjo? In a speech at the 11th Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja on June 1, 2005, he lamented that “past administrations fostered a culture of corruption and mistrust and thus encouraged undeserved stereotyped information and inaccurate judgments about [Nigerians] as a people and nation.” His government, he swore, would remain committed to creating “a culture of integrity, dignity, confidence and trust.” But that was the very same day that his government approved seven new private universities from 145 applications. One of them: Obasanjo’s Bells University. Obasanjo boisterously invokes such names as James Ibori, Tinubu and Igbinedion, but conveniently forgets that in 2006, he ignored a report he had commissioned and refused to prosecute 15 indicted governors, including those three. The Hypocrite similarly forgets that his domestic aide, Andy Uba, used the presidential jet to launder hundreds of thousands of dollars, for which he was convicted in the United States. Every objective evaluation demonstrates that Obasanjo is responsible for the kleptocracy that runs Nigeria today. What is even worse is that as a parting menace, he committed the greatest treason of all: handcuffing his country to a spineless, incompetent and compromised cabal he knew would asphyxiate it. And he turns around to blame it. Still, The Hypocrite is right on one account: the Nigerian tragedy is also about followership. “If we talk about good leadership you should also talk about good followers,” he said. Nigerians are atrocious followers. We are cowards and sycophants who would rather feed mud to our children than fight for the right to food. At the event, for instance, Vice-Chancellor Isaac Adewole shamelessly swallowed the baloney Obasanjo had just spilled all over Nigeria’s oldest university, and then questioned the nation’s political prospects in 2015. Equally stunning, not one student was reported to have walked out, slamming doors in disgust. Obasanjo is Nigeria’s first 419 leader, and he knows it. But he is counting on the Nigerian people, especially the youth, remaining too distracted or too scared to rise to their feet and say, emphatically and in unison: “NO,” “ENOUGH” and “NONSENSE!” It is time. Our mumu don do!

Why Menstrual and Sexual Pains?

Why Menses and Sexual Pains? Hi Doc, Compliments of the season to you over there. Well I just want to ask you some questions -- First I want 2 know the reason why females use to go through a lot of pains during their menstrual period; and the reason why some girls don't enjoy sex. Uzzy, Aba Dear Uzzy, The primary reason why a woman/girl does not enjoy sex is this--too many times, the man does not know how to do her -- simple!!! Too many men have no idea at all what to do on the bed to pleasure a woman. And why do they blunder so badly? They the men are in too much of a hurry and do not do enough foreplay with the woman before they attempt to enter the woman who, because she has not had adequate fore-play to enable her to be wet enough and have enough vaginal lubrication, the entry of the man--as in the introduction of the penis into a dry vagina will necessarily cause her pain. That is the singular most important and most common reason for what you ask about. Remedy? Very simple. Play sexually for a long enough time with a lady before attempting entry. Let her be the one to ask you to come in. Don't go in by yourself. I detailed all this in my great report titled, "How to Satisfy Her”. If you send to my e mail address-- doctorbibbi@yahoo.co.uk-- I will give details of how to obtain your copy. Other reasons may be because the girl or woman may be someone who has a psychological problem with sex--maybe she was raped as a girl; maybe she is afraid; maybe she has a PID--so many reasons. A doctor would think of all these reasons including PID --Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, Endometriosis, Wounds from brutal instrumentation and IUCD-- this is intra-uterine contraceptive device. About menses, some ladies have what we call primary dysmenorrhea-- no reason for their pains but very real and terrible menstrual pains none-the-less and secondary dysmenorrhea-- pains with menses which is due to infection usually. To get proper help, you both will need to discuss this with a doctor first before you can get to the root and solve the problem Cheers

Anti-Hypertensives That Boost Libido

Anti-Hypertensives That Boost Libido Doc, I read your reply to a question on this subject. I have the ailment – hypertension and a very low libido or appetite for sex. What do I do? Right now am on Adalat. Thank you Adalat -Addled, Akure; Ondo State Dear Adalat--Addled, One of the most challenging problems in the care of patients with high blood pressure is patient noncompliance with anti hypertensive therapy -- that is, for various reasons, patients do not take their drugs the way they should. There is a new class of drugs to treat hypertension, however and for this class of drugs; research has shown the highest rate of persistence in the use of drugs. One reason is that men on older high blood pressure medications (diuretics, beta-blockers) had higher rates of non-compliance and more severe erectile dysfunction than men on these newer medications. These drugs are found to be very well tolerated and are not associated with the side-effects known to cause compliance problems with beta blockers, ACE inhibitors and calcium channel blockers such as impotence, dry cough and peripheral edema. The drugs reverse sexual dysfunction - significantly improving the sex lives of men who suffer from sexual dysfunction-- but not only men. They actually improve sexual function in men and women with hypertension. Men and women being treated with these drugs for mild-to-moderate hypertension appear to show improvements in sexual function and desire and impotent patients on them find increased interest in sex. Hypertensive patients with erectile dysfunction who are taking the drugs find they have increased sexual desire -- and what's more these wonder anti hypertensives that enhance libido also-- that is -- have the added advantages of reducing the chances of diabetes developing -- they had a 23% lower risk of developing diabetes during four or more years of the study of the drugs. Also, these drugs work quite as well as any of the best in reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke. Your interest in the medications is justified-- however they are not OTC's -- over the counter medications-- so we have to see face to face so we can properly help you with them. We have sent you details and will oblige anyone (just call the help lines) of how you can do this and regain -- maybe even increase -- your sexual power while effectively controlling your hypertension -- no matter what your age is!!!

Natural Cure for Sinusitis

Sinusitis Natural Cure Hello Dr, I wish to commend you on the wonderful job you are doing and I pray God to continue to lift you to high levels. Sir, I am presently at my wits end as a result of an ailment that has continued to plague my existence;and I hope you can, in your God given wisdom, advice me on how to handle it. Sir, I have over the years continued to suffer daily nose blockage, a problem I can say has been with me right from my childhood days but which I was only able to identify as a health problem some five years back. Having been consciously aware of this 'menace', I realize my two nostrils blocks every now and then [every 45mins to be precise], and I only get some relief after blowing out the resultant sputum. If it happens however that my place of location does not accord me the chance to rid my nose of the said sputum, I then become so uncomfortable with myself as I am left with no option than to use my mouth for routine respiration. I had gone to the hospital with this complain to the Dr and he had recommended AFB test as well as chest x-ray,both of which came out negative. The Dr did however place me on some antibiotics and nose drops[Otrivin],which I took without any noticeable cure. I have also used other drugs prescribed by a pharmacist without any luck. In my desperate attempt to solve my problem, I talked to all sorts of medical practitioners, and it was in the process that a doctor told me about SINUSITIS, and the need for me to see an expert and more so that I might need to undergo a nasal operation. I am presently confused as undergoing any sort of operation is the last thing on my mind as I believe in my heart that a drug exists somewhere that can cure my problem permanently. Sir,,just what is sinusitis? Is it possible for someone to be born with it? What causes it? Can my case be referred to as one[sinusitis]? and finally can I get a cure for it [if it is] without operation? Thanks in anticipation of your reply. Himba Kiolody, Taraba Dear Himba, I've got good news for you. Your condition, which medical doctors know to be a big problem and to behave the way you described, will disappear with the use of the herb called ginger. Sinusitis is infection of the air-cells of the skull--the bone that houses our brain. It generally is a frustration for doctors. Oto--Rhino--Laryngologists--doctors specializing in diseases of the Ear, Nose and Throat(ENT) may atimes help when they operate; but some still fail to get well after operation. There is, indeed a very special antibiotic that gets wonderful results specially in the peculiar situation of Chronic Sinusitis but it is a prescription drug and I cannot treat you by post--that's for face to face consultation. Also, new research is showing that the real reason why sinusitis remains so recalcitrant to treatment may be because the germs causing the problem half of the time are fungi; not bacteria as the use of antibiotics has all this time assumed. So, you might need to find a doctor who understands how to use anti-fungals in these circumstances. But ginger works wonders in these conditions --just send me an e mail and we'd be glad sort you out beautifully. Cheers

Menstrual Pains Cured by Dangerous Sex; Help!!

Menstrual Pains Cured by Dangerous Sex; Help!! Hi Doctor, I love reading your column each time I have the opportunity of coming across Daily Champion. I actually like the way you answer other people problems. I have this problem bothering my mind.I know almost every thing concerning reproductive health because I went for a course on it sometime in 1998. My problem now is that, though I know when I'm ovulating,I also know which of the ovaries is bringing out the egg because I used to have a sharp pain on the side from which the egg is coming out. The pain then wasn't painful as it is now. Right now, it comes as if I'm having menstrual cramps but if I make love with my boyfriend 2days before my ovulation, there won't be any pains and I will still know when I'm ovulating. Making love at this time I know it's dangerous. What can I do to reduce this pain apart from making love? If I don't make love with my boyfriend 2days before my menses, I always have serious cramps. But if I do make love, though there will be cramps, but they'll be not too painful.I also take the contraceptive called Postinor 2 times precisely. But I took it on the 8th day of my menstrual cycle sometime last year but instead of ovulating on the 14th day (I have a 28day cycle)I started bleeding and it came for 5days like my normal menses does and I still menstruate on the 28th day which is my normal way. Could there have been a problem then? Please don't publish my name and email address and I will really appreciate it if a copy of the reply can be sent to my box. Rachel Obeigher, Gboko, Benue Dear Rachel, I must commend the fact that you are into contraceptives to stop unwanted pregnancy. You see Nigerian women are Champion contraception avoiders even though they are knowledgeable about it--many surveys have shown this worrisome fact. Your post-sex contraceptive is the cause of the bleeding --nothing wrong. This drug may act this way in some people. Not to worry. Yes, sex at the point in question is too dangerous-- you are in great danger of getting pregnant and remember, as contraception pre-sex is better than contraception after (or post) sex. So for prevention, use either plain old condoms or spermicide tablets--insert in place just before sex or take the 3monthly injections.Go to a doctor or to the Planned Parenthood office to ask for these shots. For pain, Hyoscine tablets will do very wonderfully and it's important you get this point well because it is the pains you have that are the cause of your having compulsory sex around ovulation-- very risky and the best recipe for unwanted babies. If you come to see us we'll help you further with me useful medicines and injections to put an end to these pains. Of course it will cost you something but nothing compared to an unwanted pregnancy. Try this and let us know how you fare. Finally, try and get married soonest and if you have problems with this and you'd like some help, send me an e mail on the subject--I'm also a pastor who has expertise in that particular area of ministry. Cheers

Bleeding And Pain During Sex

 Dear Dr. Bibbi,

I sometimes feel pain and bleed during sexual intercourse. What might be the problem? My monthly period is not too regular. It does not come on time and when it comes, it does not flow normally and I sometimes see lumps of clotted blood coming out. Please advise me. I need your reply Thanks.
Tina Noi-Bas, Port Harcourt

Dear TNB,
You'll be careful to understand that all I say here is only an educated guess, since you definitely need to be examined properly after medical consultation and intervi
ew first. Especially since you bleed after sex and because it could be cancer. But here are some conditions the doctor would be thinking of while listening to you --as he plans to eliminate or confirm them in your case by appropriate tests. 1.Vaginal tears from 2. Rough sex; or 3. Overlarge male organ; 4.Are you a virgin just being disvirgined? 5.Do you have a bleeding disorder? 6.Or have used drugs that may make the blood over- thin--like Warfarin; or 7.Aspirin; or 8.Oral Contraceptives? Do you have 9.Vaginal Infection like thrush-- candidiasis? or 10. Chlamydia(an STD) or 11. Chronic Cervicitis or 12.Cervical Erosion? These are all apart from 13. Cancer of the cervix which we mentioned first. We will mention, last,14.Cervical polyp. All of these conditions and more remote ones could cause bleeding with sex. Pain with sex or Dyspareunia is usually caused by PID--Pelvic Inflammatory Disease or Endometriosis or some vulvitis or Vestibulitis or Vaginitis. Now from this long list, you'll agree with me that tracking down the cause of your problem cannot be taken for granted. Only as you find a good doctor/gynecologist and follow due process will you be able to diagnose and put an end to your potentially dangerous situation. Act fast. Call the helplines.
Cheers

THANKS (WORRIED GIRL) Dear Worried Girl, Sorry. But if your mum did what you thinking of ... where would you be now? So, next time be more careful. Married But Still a Virgin

Dear Maggie: Married but still a virgin "My husband and I were virgins on our wedding night. As Christians we knew this was what God wanted and felt it would be best for us too. Not that we found it easy to keep our hands off each other before the big day. Trouble is - six months later we are still virgins! On our honeymoon we had lots of fun in bed but when it came to intercourse I felt too small. My husband felt pleased when I told him he was huge. But I was scared and he just didn’t fit in me! I was mortified. Months later we still hadn’t managed it and our doctor wasn’t much help. He just gave me some lubricating cream and a plastic tube to stretch my vagina and told my husband if I couldn’t relax he should go to the courts and have our marriage annulled. I feel such a failure - dreams of a happy marriage and children are going up in smoke. Now we face public humiliation. Instead of being a pleasure sex has become an unbearable pressure. Help!" "I’m so glad you wrote in, as these problems get worse if we don’t share them, but can most definitely be resolved with the right help. What you are dealing with is one of the most common female psychosexual dysfunctions: a disorder called ‘vaginismus’. It is caused by an involuntary spasm of the musculature of the outer third of the vagina. Unfortunately, it is more common among people with a strong faith background, so is something we should know about in the Christian world. “Going to court to get your marriage annulled” is terrible advice. You can overcome this problem and have a happy sex life, with every chance of conceiving children in the future. The starting point for this vaginismus is that you “felt too small” and that you were “scared” about him “fitting” inside you. These anxieties have caused your otherwise perfectly stretchable vaginal tissue to seize up in a tight spasm. The truth is that once you can learn to relax this muscle spasm, your vaginal entrance can stretch large enough for a baby’s head to get through! I recommend you start by learning to insert the tip of your own finger, holding it inside your vaginal entrance until any anxiety dies down. You can combine this with ‘Kegel exercises’ where you pull up your PC muscles like a lift going from the ground floor up and then releasing it back down again. If you are unsure what these muscles contracting feel like, they are the same ones as you would use if you are going to the toilet and stop the flow of urine. If you do this exercise with your finger inside your vaginal entrance, you will be able to feel your muscles tightening and loosening. The idea is that you get to the point where you can chose to loosen these muscles when you want to have intercourse with your husband. However big he is, once your muscles are loosened, he will fit in. I suggest at this stage that you see a Psychosexual therapist. They can also check for any contributory physical factors that may be causing the vaginismus. Sometimes this is things like vaginitis, a rigid hymen, endometriosis or genital tract infections. A third of people presenting with vaginismus have some form of physical cause linked to the condition. These can then be treated. Your Psychosexual therapist will help you use vaginal dilators effectively, which is the plastic tubes and lubricating cream your doctor is talking about. (See www.pharmacy2u.co.uk Amielle comfort vaginal trainers). These can most definitely work, if administered with care. While you use them it is best initially not to attempt intercourse with your husband. These dilators will help stretch your vaginal entrance and train your muscles to receive something coming inside you, without it hurting. Once you are comfortable with them, you can then progress to intercourse. Love is ‘patient’ as Paul reminds us in that much-quoted 13th chapter in 1 Corinthians. In the meantime, can I encourage you both to get back into the fun you were having in bed and that feeling of not wanting to keep your hands off each other! You can do all this without worrying about penetration for now. God given sexual intimacy is about a lot more than penetration and procreation. It’s about an emotional and spiritual intertwining that is expressed in the physical. Enjoy the wonder of the love God has given you, give attention to the practical things I have outlined above and sex will become the pleasure that God intended for you." WHY WET DREAMS?

WHY WET DREAMS? Dear Sir, I must sincerely say I'm pleased with the way you solve problems. Here are some questions from me to you sir ! 1. What causes wet dreams? 2.How can it be stopped? It started some years ago after stopping masturbation and hoping to begin enjoying a new life this problem started, Please advice me on how to stop it. I'll expect your reply as soon as possible. Wellington Wabara, Enugu Dear Wellington, Mature men must have a few wet dreams on occasion. A physical condition called Chronic prostatitis is a times associated with wet dreaming. Psychologically, if you have a crush on some lady it will not be strange your mind to populate your dreams with herself and cohorts maybe to the extent of having wet dreams involving her Spiritually, the difference is the unusual frequency of the wet dreams, the unusual persona populating the dreams, the unusual regularity of these people appearing in amorous situations with you in these dreams and the worrisome and strange happenings or goings-on in such dream encounters. Solution? The adult male should get married. The urine should be tested as well as the semen and any penile discharge to prove or deny Chronic Prostatitis which should then be diligently and painstakingly treated since neglect in any way will result in failed treatment --a very common problem in Chronic Prostatitis. Further, psychological infatuation should not be indulged in. Spiritually very strong deliverance prayers should be engaged in by the sufferer or by others interceding for them. We can help with every one of these steps and have done so with success for many Cheers

Post-Partum Depression/Baby Blues

Post-Partum Depression/Baby Blues Hello Doc, My questions are 3 fold:1). My baby's 6mos old. I'm moody, depressed, irritated, impatient and generally unhappy. Life's just one big bore...church, job, academics home etc. Baby's my 3rd and am 35 yrs old. Do you think it is postpartum depression? 2.) I had extensive episiotomy in all the 3 births. Now I'm so scared that my private place is in danger of so much scarring. If I dared to have another baby do you think it is dangerous? The pain is usually so much. 3) After birth, my BP has been hovering 140/80. Is it ok? My doctor put me on drugs when it was 160/100. Reply in my box, please. Madonna, Maiduguri Dear Madonna, It'd be best to call me /see a competent doctor/ psychiatrist so we can get to the root of your troubles but I'd want you to know that Post -Partum Depression and Pregnancy- related Hypertension are serious enough conditions to seek medical attention.Feeling sad after birth is common - it's called Baby Blues. It usually resolves on it's own. But when depression-- loss of energy and lack of activity is involved then we have PPD. That one will be needing doctors/psychiatrist to handle. If we could talk together with your hubby it would be wonderful. I do not share your fears about scarring and so on--majorly because you most likely will not to need an episiotomy in your next delivery if it is handled well. But when we talk, we'll be able to tackle it better. So, 1. yes you have PPD -- it's a diagnosis that subsists till 1 year after birth 2.Let's plan to have another baby-it's your right; ok? Scarring? Forget it 3.You need to be careful about your BP. 160/100 is bad; 140/90 not the best; we need to lower it.What was it before you got pregnant? This one needs special handling.Call the helplines.

Diabetes and the Feet

Good evening Doc, Please I need your advice on a matter. I have someone who has Diabetes(for more than 10 years).About 2 weeks ago he started having pains on the heel of his foot.He is about 60years old. What can be done to help him, Sir? Thanks Raliat Ranko, Degema Dear Raliat, Bad bad news. Any one with diabetes who gets pains on the feet must be very careful and wary of diabetic foot ulcer and therefore should quickly see his doctor/diabetologist as quickly as possible. Diabetics tend to get small vessel disease including retinopathy (in the eye--cannot see well); impotence, kidney damage and non healing ulcers (in the feet) -- that lead inevitably to amputation of such areas of the feet because gangrene sets in and begins to spread to other parts of the body if care is not taken. Special care of the feet is important for all diabetics and if their doctor has not instructed them about this, they ought to seek such information fast. Hurry up and follow above advice. Cheers

Stop Sex For Now!!!

Stop Sex For Now!!! Dear Doctor, My boyfriend & I both had sex then I found out that I started having stomach pain. My navel began to pain me then to the left side of my tummy then below my chest region which resulted to vomiting, high body temperature & loss of weight. We used a condom. I am 19 while he is 22yrs old. What do you think is the cause of the mentioned symptoms above? How can I gain my weight back within a week? I've even thought of stopping to have sex completely so please your advice & prescription is highly needed urgently. Dear JFX, Listen JFX-- you asked for my advice-- so let me tell you the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the God-help-me truth-- YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS HAVING SEX-- AT ALL!! and, straight away, I can think of 5 things that can be responsible for your symptoms 1. is plain old fear-- anxiety neurosis, we call it. Fear of -- no, not pregnancy since you used condoms, but fear that you are too young to be having sex. This fear or anxiety is what is responsible for your subsequent resolve to go off sex. I mean If you were 29-- or even 19-- and finished all your studies--or even if not graduated yet-- but were married --and this problem occurred-- would you ever think of stopping to have sex? Not very likely!!! So, --like the ubiquitous new advert says, "sex is worth waiting for, so zip up!!!" 2.Endometriosis 3.PID-- (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease). Both these two will cause you to have pain with sex and the second one -- PID -- will make you have fever too; 4.Coincidental Peptic Ulcer symptoms 5.No Reason -- which is often a way of saying the reason is not in the physical or mental -- it is in the spiritual. Magun, for example is a spiritual principle whereby the partner to the magun- carrying partner begins to have symptoms that may culminate in death. In this case the magun would be on your boy-- and it could even be on you. The purpose of magun ("don't climb" --as in sex) -- is not to do it-- don't have sex ( with the magun carrier) -- which is still saying the same thing I was saying which you yourself seems to have apprehended already -- "Zip up; wait; don't". The summary? I agree with you. My prescription? Stop sex for now; okay? Cheers

Boils on the Genitals

Dear Doctor, I've been reading your responses to people's questions to regarding their health situation,I must say that I'm glad so far. Please doctor, for sometime now, I've been having some boils around my private parts --the groin to be specific. It appears like pimples. It's actually like pimple, because any time it's ripe, it does brings out some whitish substance like that of pimple. Please help me out. Expecting your reply through this medium if possible. Thanks. Yours Sege Dear Sege, Your question is very relevant because you find a lot of folks with the same concern--boils, pimples, bumps or some hard nodules or papules near, at or on their genitals. What could it be? The best approach is to ask yourself the question--what is the origin? Did it just begin or has it been coming and going for a long time? If it began a long while ago, how did it start--just after sex with a particular person--or what? Because --here is the first major distinction that will give you peace of mind--if it is a question of nonsexual contact at all then it is very likely to be nothing to write home about . General, non sex related causes of boils are bad hygiene and diabetes as well as kidney infection and generally lowered immunity. Then talking non sexually again you must understand that the genitals, like the armpits, the face the buttocks and some other parts of the body where skin lies on skin and there is likely to be friction contain a lot of oily glands;sweat glands and so on and are prone to have these boils--yes they are just ordinary boils--naturally. It is nothing to worry about. The hair follicle could get infected because the hair has grown inside on its itself --called ingrown hair follicle. It could also be a cyst --these ones tend to extrude some whitish or liquid stuff when pressed. They are inconsequential. Incidentally these boils are all likely to be caused by the ubiquitous germ --ever p[resent on the skin well known and referred to as Staphylococcus aureus--harmless really unless it gets deep into tissues like the prostate, brain, inner lining of the heart or lungs or causes food poisoning. Having said this I must warn that you always need to see a doctor to actually look see any skin problem because to assume could be deadly.Particularly if there is a recent history of sexual exposure you will need to rule out things like syphilitic chancre, genital warts, herpes and molluscum contagiosum; and Behcet's Syndrome and so on and so forth. These sexually transmitted or sexually associated conditions need to be thoroughly assessed by doctors trained to do so. If you stay in a capital or city or University town your best bet is to go and see a dermatologist at the University teaching hospital or Federal Medical Centre or even the General Hospital. There you will find dermatological evaluation which, really is the best for you Cheers

Is White Vaginal Discharge Infection?

Dear Dr, These days I notice something liquid and white is coming out of my vagina and one of my friends told me its infection. Please advise Hauwa, Dutse Jigawa Dear Hauwa This piece of information I want to give you now is very very important for every woman to know, so fasten your seat-belts.The normal vagina, just like the normal mouth is generally and usually moist or wet or not dry. Again, just like the mouth, a times, there will be more fluid or wetness or discharge and at other times, less. This is true whether there is disease or not. Now for the mouth, saliva is the fluid that is produced and it is colourless. For the vagina, the fluid or discharge -- the normal, no disease, no trouble one-- is white like rice, ogi, akamu or fura or the white of the coconut. It may also be a little off-white or creamy going yellow. This piece of scientific and medical fact is important to know so the poor lady does not begin to run around thinking she has a disease when there is no cause for alarm. When there is infection or disease in the vagina, there are four notable differences you will notice and they are increase in the fluid or discharge - it becomes too much; it changes colour from the white we referred to; it becomes itchy or and it becomes smelly. Any lady who still has questions on this topic--is my discharge normal? should go to www.mediamedix.blogspot for further help or just call us. Blocked Tubes from Breast Enlargement?

Dear Dr, Sometime ago, I purchased and have been using breast enlargement meds. Recently, however, I was diagnosed with blocked tubes.I am a 22year old girl who has been using contraceptive pills. I discovered in my internet search that blocked fallopian tubes are linked with contraceptive pills. Could my breast enlargement medications be the cause of my blocked tubes? Thank you, doctor Jane Abiriba, Yenagoa Dear Jane, Blocked tubes are not caused by breast enlargement meds, no.The most important cause is Pelvic inflammatory Disease, endometriosis, generalized infections of the abdomen like peritonitis that can occur from a ruptured appendix. Let me put your mind to rest- there is no link between your breast enlargement stuff and your blocked tubes Cheers

Premature Ejaculation; Bed-Wetting

Dear Doctor, As a regular reader of your column, family health, I believe you will respond to these my problems:- (1)Premature ejaculation I started noticing this sickness at 19 when I had my first sexual intercourse. And up till now, the sickness remains with me. This makes me to feel much embarrassed now than that of my initial time. Whenever, I have sexual intercourse, before 10 – 15 seconds I have released. Sometimes I will refuse to romance with my partner to avoid releasing before the real sex, which is not enjoyable. (2)Inability to go more than one (1) round after this ejaculation prematurely. This makes me to feel unhappy whenever my partner asked me why can’t me go twice. (3)Bed Wetting: Earlier, this problem happens to me whenever I had a dream where I’m playing with a partner and before I know it I have released but now it is almost everyday and it makes me to feel totally fatigue after the releasing. Please, Doctor, I am very worried about this problem and believe you will do something about the remedies. May God Almighty continue to shower his blessings upon you and your family in Jesus name. Amen. Please, Doctor, I will like you to send this reply back with your real contact address with phone number if it is possible. Or you send E-mail through Thanks. Yours faithfully, Malami Bagauda, Hadija, Kano Dear Malami, Your bed-wetting is the challenge that worries me the most among your troubles.adults do not bed-wet unless there is something deeply wrong -- to be found not in the mind or body, but usually in the spirit. This is corroborated by the fact that your bed-wetting is dream-related. Little kids bed -wet and generally we attribute this to various physical factors. Adolescents that bed-wet are known to have psychological challenges they are unable to handle which a good psychologist /psychiatrist can help them with. Adults bed-wetting is a totally different kettle of fish. Definitely, e get as e be!!! Your premature ejaculation and only one round is Chronic Prostatitis and as you noticed, will not ever go away by itself. You need expert treatment and will benefit from our expertise. The spiritual angle to your problems as for every other human being gets well sorted out if you learn to pray.We help needful folks with this without upsetting their religious inclinations.Just call the hep-lines. Will Chest Pain Kill Me? Help!!

Good day sir, I want to use this medium to thank you for the work you have been doing to many Nigeria and worldwide. More grease to your elbow, sir. I want to share my own problem with you and I know you can help me as well. Sir, it all started in 2005, when I was schooling. I discovered that I have been experiencing pain whenever I go to urinate. It was not all that serious because it will come and go. Not until 2008, I discover that the pain is still trigger me and by then I went to a private hospital here in Abuja and did a urine and HIV test and I was told that I have staphylococcus and my HIV status is negative because then I do have internal heat, some time blood in my urine, body weakness hotness in my body and so on. Because of the money I was told to pay before treatment commenced which I couldn't pay I stopped the treatment then. Sir, I was living with the pain in my body till December, 2010 and I went back to the same hospital and did another test both HIV and the result still show that I have staph and my HIV status still remain negative but sir, am afraid. Sir, the main reason why I am writing to you this note is that, now I am having chest pain about one month plus; I did not hit my chest on anything. Although, the urinating pain is not often the reason I said it is that, sometimes I will not feel the pain like two week but any week it will come I will not feel better. Sir, I am afraid I may have liver problem or what could be the problem that my chest is paining me? Please give me some health tip and as well advice me on what to do because am tired of living with this pain. Sir, tell me what is wrong with me? Also, the money I was as pay in the hospital I went to is N120,000.00 for three months treatment but I don't have such money to be sincere with you. I will commit suicide because of this problem. Sir, I was born in 1984. Thank you so much for your kind gesture and I believe you will treat my own case with levity. Please Sir, reply me through this email as I will not have the opportunity to get the answer on news paper in case you want to publish it. Yours Faithfully, Ama from Abuja. Dear Ama, First, you or anyone else, for that matter, must never allow the weeds of evil, threatening and fatal thoughts in our minds—for, as a man thinks, so is he. Mind affects matter--it's a fundamental rule of existence; because everything in the real, physical world was first a thought in the mind -- you yourself; the car you ride; the house you live in and so on. So since seeds eventually turn to fruits, be careful about the seeds you plant in your mind. You WILL NOT COMMIT SUICIDE at all -- courtesy of God's goodness and this intervention; Amen. Second, I swear to you by all I learnt in medicine in 40 years (including 7 years of studentship), if you do not treat this problem and treat it correctly, IT WILL NOT GO BY ITSELF; OKAY? Three, as an adult, the earlier you learn that in life there is no free lunch, the better. Please forget those dreams of free treatment and begin an intelligent struggle to source the funds you need to get well; -- that's just the way it is. Four, we are however, pocket -friendly in our approach to curing people; so relax. Five, the disease will not kill you --it's because your imagination is in overdrive that you fear so; Six, understand that when fears, worries, anxieties and so on overwhelm the mind, there are bodily symptoms that follow suit. These bodily symptoms help the human being to go RESOLVE THE CONFLICTS. The symptoms constitute what we call psychoneuroses and they come and go. They are fear-driven; fear-engineered and fear-founded. Once you understand this the symptoms tend to go away. Your chest problems, I believe, fall into this category. Just see us and we’ll help resolve everything. Finally, this does not mean that you do not have an actual disease of the body. You do and I suspect it is Chronic Prostatitis. You did say that he problem began in school. You never mentioned a woman but the truth is that I’d be very surprised if it has no basis in sexual escapades which boys are notorious for. These diseases are only half-treated when as a boy you catch them and the germs go and hide in the man’s prostate; affecting him with chronic disease for many years. We will cure you. You will need to come see us for a thorough, diligent and detailed check up to confirm or deny these impressions. Folks do come from all the ends of Nigeria – Kano; Sokoto; Calabar; Ogbomosho; Jos; Bayelsa; Port Harcourt; Abakaliki; Onitsha – even from the Camerouns, Ghana and Benin. We have sent our address to you and will send same to anyone who calls or e mails for it. Check www.mediamedix.blogspot.com for further information Cheers

Urticaria,Allergy,Itching

Dear Doctor, I want to appreciate the effort that u put in solving people's medical problems through your column in the Sun. I have a problem which has persisted 4 a long tyme despite several medications and tests bit which bothers me a lot. I hope u will be able to help me. I usually have some swellings on all parts of my body, especially when the weather is hot. It's been disturbing me for the past six yrs. I have carried out all sorts of tests and taken all sorts of medication. ai have also met very many doctors on the issue but all i usually get is just temporary respite as it usually reoccurs. Most say it is filariasis and some other high sounding diseases. I dont want to know what it is. All i want is treatment 4 it. I hope u will be able to help me. Sometimes, I woke up with a swollen face. It is usually very embarrassing. And it itches like hell. Pls help me. Thanks and God bless u. Duke, Uyo Sorry about your plight, but I want to quote you in answer to your queries. First you have seen many doctors -- well I'd like to say to you and many out there who say the same, this is your last Bus stop; okay? All you need do is determine to follow my prescriptions -- do as you are told and you will get your results; that is all. What you have simply is urticaria. I think I explained it about two weeks ago and I quote: Swellings and Itching hi doc, good afternoon doc,i do read ur column n i c how u answer pples question, pls i have 2 questn n i will want u 2 answer it. 1.i do have a swollen body[all parts of my body]dat do pain n at times it do come with itching, after some time it will go. 2.after i gave birth 2 my baby my tummy has refused 2 go back 2 d normal size. pls i want u 2 profer a lasting solutn 2 all have said, may be u can prescibe a drug.n pls i need d answer 2 dis question urgently. tnks,Tessy, Lagos pls don't publish my mail addy. Dear Tessy, Itchy swelling that comes a times and goes away after a little while is urticaria and is due to allergy. Chlorpheniramine is good to use when it comes but the real solution is to find what you are allergic to and control that. Allergy, by the way is you reacting to something others do not react to. Some allergens-- stuff that cause allergy in these special people are mites found in house- dust, pollen grains, sea foods like cray-fish, fish and crabs, food allergens found in milk, feathers of birds and the hair of cats and so on. try to find what cause or triggers your own swelling and itching and make sure you remove it from your environment. The addresses and names you see are changed; but the letters are very real. Cheers Great. Now let me quote you again. You say you do not want to know what it is. Sad, very sad. Because, it's like Moh'd Ali going into the ring blindfolded-- no matter that he is world champion extraordinaire, whoever his opponent is, no matter how puny and weak, that opponent will defeat Ali. So, you must know -- and know for sure -- always -- in every battle in life -- do not -- never forget that; okay? Great. Lastly, treatment is simple once the enemy has been identified and now has a name. You will get well and forget all the years of your sorrow; okay? Just call the help lines now.

To Find Mr Right

To Find Mr Right Dear Doctor, I'm one of the readers of your column,YOU & UR HEALTH.I am a 21yrs old female student of OLABISI ONABANJO UNIVERSITY AGO IWOYE. Sir,I have a little problem. I started dating guys after my 20th birthday. Since that time till date, I have dated up to 6 guys at different times and I end up dumping them one after the other. The problem is I never really get to know them until I have spent time with them. So, after 2 or 3 weeks,I find out that we are not really compatible and then I quit. No sex. Now, the problem is, how do I find him(Mr Right) or how do I know if I have found him? I need someone who shares stuff with me, is compatible and makes me happy. I know no one is perfect. Please reply through my mailbox. Wanda Ademodi, Iyin-Ekiti, Dear Wanda, Your no sex policy is fantastic. Keep it up--it gives peace of mind and relative safety -- from STD's; HIV; Unwanted Pregnancy;Blocked Fallopian tubes; Ectopic Pregnancy; Infertility; Cancer of the Cervix; Criminal Abortion; Septic Abortion and Death. That's apart from all the bad blood; bad moods and bad conscience between you and the unwilling father of your unfortunate offspring. Remember, to abstain is the first, best and golden rule of prevention. Now, about boys-- I can tell from your write-up that you haven't found him yet. But keep looking; you definitely will find him. And when you do, you'll know--oh you'll know it so much that you'll be the one telling me and everyone else "I've found him!!" Suppose you were born blind but after an operation you can now see. Would you need anyone to tell you you are now seeing? No. You would know it without anyone telling you when you can see. That's the way it is. Keep looking and hoping. He'll soon surface, I guarantee you. How to find him faster? Have you tried prayer--deep; heart--felt and sincere? Cheers

Monthly Malaria!!!

Dr Caleb Bibbi Oluranti, Please l want to know this now and still tell me what to do about it l always having malaria every month l eating every well and taken tablet for it. please tell me what to do that can sustained for 6 month or forever. Please reply to me thanks. Remain blessed UMB, Benin City Dear UMB, Your complaint is one that is increasingly becoming rampant and I have the pleasure to reveal the approach to it that we have found very successful. About half a dozen factors come to mind when folks complain of frequent malaria at times like these in our clime: 1.Chloroquine Treatment Failure:divided into at least 3 or 4 subtypes. Most of us in Nigeria grew up learning that the drug of choice to treat malaria is chloroquine. Not any more!!! The bugs that cause malaria, known by the family name Plasmodium have about 4 brothers-- "Ovale", "Malariae" , "Vivax" and of course, the much dreaded "Falciparum"; the "firstborn" and toughest among them. This Falciparum Plasmodium or more correctly, Plasmodium falciparum causes chloroquine --resistant malaria. Even if one used all the correct doses of chloroquine, if the bug causing this particular episode of malaria is already chloroquine --resistant, then the result will be CTF. 2. The dosage of chloroquine -- even when people try to use it is generally incorrectly apprehended. For the avoidance of doubt; of course, it is 4, 4, 2 -- or 2, 2 1-- that is 4 tabs daily for 2 days and 2 tabs the third day, all taken at once each day; or half the dose for children from about 12 years up. Most folks trying to treat malaria never complete the dose--and that, with a drug that is getting increasingly less effective on account of parasite--resistance! Of course, they are going to get malaria again and again!!! So, that's another cause of CTF!!! 3. Injection Chloroquine. A subdivision of this type of factor is when doctors/health professionals give patients injection chloroquine to treat malaria--which is a faux pas-- never to be done.Excepting where the patient is vomiting. Injection chloroquine stays in the blood for only 6 hours; tablet forms stay for 28 days!!! 4. There is a fourth cause of CTF --the peculiarly Nigerian factor that Dr Mrs Dora Akunyili has been trying to fight so impressively-- and that is the faking of the drug itself. Most people do not understand the philosophy of faking. The drugs are tampered with or made to incorrect specifications-- containing maybe 20%, 70%, 90% or even 0% of the active ingredient; in this case, chloroquine. Of course this contributes to CTF also. 5.There is another Nigerian factor that I have learnt to develop a high index of suspicion for. And that is the Agbo (concoction) factor--- many Nigerians know--and correctly too-- that certain herbs --like the neem plant (dogoyaro); lemon grass and so on can be used to treat fevers. Of these I am also aware; but I think failure to get well follows on the incorrect application of dosages and duration of treatment --not to talk of method of preparation--- of the needed concoction. So a lot of people are trying to use herbs and not getting it correct and find themselves still suffering malaria. 5. But suppose it is no longer malaria -- or it was not even malaria in the first instance? It could be malaria or any of what I call the "Fifteen Funny Fevers" that a doctor must keep in mind when tackling a persistent fever of unknown origin. Is it typhoid--like above? Or a viral infection? All fever is not malaria. Malaria, Typhoid and Septicaemia (bacterial blood poisoning) should be the 3 in the first league. After which the doctor should list the Viral Fevers-- the general ones that cause debility or Flu-like symptoms of catarrh and so on; Hepatitis and the Upper respiratory tract infections-- pharyngotonsilitis, bronchitis, bronchiolitis. The enteric fevers--"younger brothers" to typhoid should never be forgotten. Then, of course should come the childhood--associated Pneumonia, Measles and Meningitis. That's at least all of ten. The ladies should not be forgotten with their PID (Pelvic Inflammatory disease), Upper (Pyelonephritis) and lower UTI, Cholecystitis ( or Gall Bladder infection) TB--Tuberculosis -- takes the rear. Now, the God--help--me truth is that you could be suffering any of these diseases --and more --Lassa Fever, Chronic Grumbling Appendicitis, --name it. You see, many diseases come up with a fever and it gets so confusing --but that is the job of the doctor. To have a high index of suspicion of certain diseases and ferret them out of their hiding places in your body by the appropriate interviewing, examination and investigations. 6.It is becoming more clear that some patients will benefit from a boost to their immunity when they begin to have too frequent bouts of malaria/typhoid or other fevers and I have found the simple solution a times is just to boost their immunity using the appropriate nutritional supplements --especially in high doses. I have found this to be highly effective in these types of cases. My advice to you is see a highly experienced doctor who will do a thorough check on you to get to the root of your complaints. Cheers PS Nobody uses ordinary Chloroquine to treat malaria anymore; what is used is Artemisinin in combination with any older ant-malarial-- maybe chloroquine or camoquine or fansidar or halofantrine or quinine etc. we call this new approach, Artemisisnin Based Combination (ABC) therapy and though this question borders on just chloroquine, even today with ABC, the truths outlined in this write -up are useful still

HIV Positve; Partner Negative

HIVPositve; Partner Negative DOCTOR, HAPPY NEW YEAR,MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS U 4 D GOOD WORK U ARE DOING. PLEASE I NEED U 2 EXPLAIN HOW WE we can start having babies. I am 26yrs HIV positive and I have a guy who wants 2 marry me. He is 34yrs and he is a lawyer he loves me and he wants 2 marry me but he said he does not know how we can start having babies without he contracting it.So i need your help and advice. I started taking d retroviral drugs since April 2011 and i discovered that my breast is bringing out milk. They prescribed bromagon 4 me I took d whole dose which is in d bottle but d milk is still coming out. So please i need your help i have not allowed him 2 touch me yet because I don't want him 2 know about d breast milk that is coming out and he said he wants to settle down as soon as possible with me. Please reply me. Thank u Laura, Lokoja Dear Laura, You must understand one thing, both of you. Love is the greatest. Love is the strongest force in the universe -- and that is what you both have between you and in your arsenal. Of course, if this boy does not love you, he cannot think of marrying you, no to talk of proposing; right? If you love him, tell him all-- milk from breast and all -- and see -- if he will not love you the more. You don't understand? Well God is love -- that's what the Good Book says!!! And many waters cannot quench the fire of love. Love also covers a multitude of sins; so be free and fully naked before your lover-- there is no fear in love; see? Good. Catching the disease? Well, even though there is love, it is always wise to be reasonable. Catching the disease from man to woman is faster than from woman to man; that’s for one -- this is because the surface area of the genitals from where the bug can be caught, you will agree is much wider in the woman than in the man. But again, you have been on ARV's -- so your viral load should be minimal. Now ARV's are soon to be free; it will be even easier to procure the precious meds. Another positive factor for both of you. Now, to catch disease from partner to the other is not automatic. The defense capabilities of all humans are not the same -- one person can resist disease better than another; so, it is possible he may never catch anything from you. If you add faith to all that and then one last ingredient -- make the faith active -- come see us or some other doctor/priest who understands these things-- I can guarantee you that you will never get him infected; okay? Nor your babies -- though transmission / infection rates from mother to child is like just 13 --20 %. Do not neglect to contact us — we can and will help you. So on balance I would encourage you to go for love --it conquers all things. To you the lady particularly I would say do not postpone marriage for any excuse or reason; okay? Marry your loving suitor and deal with the challenges in the way I suggested. You will testify. (But if after all I have said anyone of you still has some fears, forget what I said and play safe; okay? Faith works wonders, yes; but fear does the opposite; okay?) Cheers

My problem is that any time I go to use the toilet there is always this thing that comes out of my penis[like semen]. Sir I don't feel any pain except in my waist region. Please what is this . Is it CPR. I will appreciate your reply[ possibly soonest. [I've never slept with any girl in my life] Thanks for the reply. Bye" both show very clearly the link between three or four very seemingly unrelated concepts or words a)Sexual inadequacy(SXI) or erectile dysfunction b)Chronic Prostatitis(CPR) and c)Staphylococcus aureus d)Sex, no sex and STD's In a nutshell, understand that staph --or any other germ; some std, some not can invade a male's system, infect his prostate give him a CPR and then cause SXI secondary to the CPR. In my experience, CPR --hidden, unsuspected, undiagnosed(by SFA--seminal fluid analysis with m,c,s-- is the cause of up to 85% --if not even more of SXI.Too may feel that all these has got to have a link or the other with sex. True and false. CPR, like PID both can be caused by either STD germs or UTI germs or any other general germ that takes their fancy. If, like in staph, a general germ is causing problem in the sexual areas, it does not mean that it is sexually transmitted-- only that it is doing havoc in that area. This is important for cases like the 19 year old virgin boy who has CPR or the 18 year old virgin girl who has PID. It does not imply that they were not chaste-- every one must understand this. And the only way to settle that is extensive interview, appropriate examination and laboratory tests that tell us what type of germ we are dealing with; okay? No generalizations; no jumping to any conclusions. Send to staphdoctor@yahoo.com ; or betterloverz@yahoo.com to access very useful information on how to stop these menaces. Not to publish? But that's how all --including you-- have benefited and are still benefiting. We publish--but change your ID and location. And that is good enough for all. Cheers

How Fertile Am I?

How Fertile Am I? Dear Doctor, I have undergone several several semen analyses, and each time, it has indicated low sperm count and poor motility. The semen is however drawy.I then had a hormonal analysis, which suggested that I have increased prolactin, and decreased testosterone. Could you please let me know what is responsible for this, and what drugs could be used to correct it? While I appreciate that it may not be possible for you to personally reply to every mail that you receive, I will nonetheless appreciate if you could oblige me with a personal reply. Many thanks, JKO, Ugep, Cross River Dear JKO, You do not give your age or circumstance: Are you married? Trying for a baby?hormonal imbalance is usually the hidden factor to look for in infertility and sexual inadequacy--the doctor has not properly investigated you who has not made sure your hormones are all correct --if you are looking for a baby or are having sexual frustrations or difficulties. And that statement is true for both males and females--absolutely no difference. The relevant hormones to check out in infertility treatment in the female are a) Prolactin which helps her to produce milk for breastfeeding a baby; b)FSH or Follicle Stimulating Hormone--which helps the ovary produce eggs for fertilization,; c)Leuteinizing hormone --which helps the ovary to produce progesterone that establishes the pregnancy and d)Progesterone-- without a sufficient amount of which a woman cannot get pregnant. The same hormones are tested in the male --except for this difference--that Testosterone instead of Progesterone is tested. Now, testosterone is a very important hormone in the male helping to make a man a man --as in high libido, sexual aggressiveness and assertiveness--in short-- male virility. Prolactin,if whether in the male or the female means decreased libido and reduced fertility. For because --think about it -- it is telling the female's (and male too) system that she needs no baby since she is (equivalent to) breastfeeding a baby with her high prolactin levels. The biggest thing, however is that your hormonal imbalances are treatable-- by a doctor of course, who understands it --and you yourself will testify that very few do. Else it would not take so long to get your hormones checked since your semen analyses were always awry. You need to let an expert do it. I'm sure you do see that by now? Expert treatment will not only get your sperm count up; But it'll get you to impregnate your wife By the Grace of Almighty God while it Restores your stamina and ability sex wise turning you into a darling of your wife again-- A hungry lion! The issues involved are intricate so understand that any doctor wanting to help you he'll need need to see u first -- absolutely non negotiable and you'll need to go see him with all your results .And its only then you'll know how much it'll cost. But it won't be cheap----Soup wey sweet; na money kill am. However, remember that most doctors treating infertility understand the pressure on the pocket and ensure treatment is pocket -friendly. If you want to see us we have sent you details--by God's grace you won't fail this time --if indeed (and it seems very likely) you are looking for a baby. Don't waste time and money any further. Give it the best you've got Cheers

ABC to be a Rape Survivor

ABC of Rape Dear Dr, I was gang-raped three days ago by some boys and I am seriously confused; I don’t know what to do. Please advise me Linarita, Lanlate, Oyo State Dear Linarita, Very sorry about your plight but these things happen and everyone— (all women especially since children and men can also be raped) has to listen well and learn what to do about rape because its getting increasingly common. I’ll call this write-up the ABC of rape. First is A-APART—you need to go settle down somewhere safe and compose yourself – that’s of course after crying and being shocked and numbed and feeling like suicide. All that is normal. You need to think and review the situation and make important decisions. So find a safe place and make up your mind on some issues. Do you want to keep quiet about it or get justice or just want an apology—the whole choice is yours but you must set APART all the evidence so you can make your point well when you decide to do so.Don’t wash, don’t clean up, don’t remove your clothes or any torn clothing or pants; don’t do anything that will change the evidence. Keep all evidence apart; sit down; set time apart and even WRITE what happened --so you can recall it better when and if you need to. Maybe you are so confused you don’t know what to do? That brings us to B—BULWARK or Support. You need a bulwark – strong support in the situation you find yourself . which friend, sister, relative acquaintance do you want to call and confide in and rely upon for help and general emotional, physical and other kinds of support at this time? This brings us to the next point, C—CALL or calling the police. If you need to call us and we'll help you--see the numbers below. It is a good thing to have someone go with you to the police; a times you must be warned—they can be very funny and the reason is, generally men(most police are men) believe that any woman reporting rape was complicit in the act. In other words they may not be too sympathetic because they tend to feel you were careless. But when you go with somebody else they may be forced to be more humane. Bits of the rapists hair or strands of fabric or maybe a belt or shoe or torn shirt etc will definitely interest the police as evidence. D. DOCTORS. In their search for evidence, the medical will come into play so they will arrange for you to be seen by a doctor and the evidence you preserved will come in very handy. Any semen or male discharge even if dried on your body or genitals, blood , bruises, etc will be detailed by the doctor who will take care to examine you after taking specimens for lab tests of STD’s /HIV etc. The doctor may need a urine specimen to check out if you drugged in cases where this happened. Apart from these, it’s only a doctor that can help you make sure you do not get pregnant and bring a rapist’s bastard into the world. Again, you can call or e mail us or visit our blog at www.mediamedix.blogspot.com to access quality help.E stands for EXPEL or expelling the evil from your system.Any woman who has undergone rape needs to be mended emotionally and even spiritually of her wounds which are internal. It is only a counselor that can help you expose and expel whatever psychological or spiritual demons are lurking in your inner man. Your self respect, self assurance, self-respect, self esteem all need to be restored-- that's on the psychological level. On the spiritual, I affirm that evil spirits take advantage of folks who are battered and shocked and use such opportunity to jump inside people and torment them. A wise counselor/pastor will help you exorcise all such problems as difficulty relating with men after rape, fear of sex; constantly recurring memories of the rape attack; feelings of guilt and regret that perhaps you were responsible for the attack and so on. this, I find, is key to being a rape survivor rather than a rape victim. A final word on how to avoid rape – women should be less trusting and more thrifty with their love and acceptance of all men whether acquaintance or relative or stranger. DO NOT agree to be ALONE with any man in a closed room if you are not married to him. The Quran,I am told, says that in all such situations, Al Satan(Satan) is the third personality attendant; and in the Bible, the story of Tamar, David’s daughter and her half brother, Amnon in 1 Samuel 13, buttresses this view and is very instructive to women. BE VERY CAREFUL Cheers Dr Caleb Bibbi Oluranti
