Persistent Pelvic Pain, Infertiltiy, Rape

Dear Sir,

In 1996 I was raped in my sleep and I cannot say whether it was real or not but that month I was confused. I went into fasting at the same time taking lime orange discovered that since then I have been having problems with my womb, stomach, menses. I married and couldn’t get pregnant. I just lost my husband. I have been taken to many hospitals but to no avail. I never had a boyfriend. Please help me. I don’t know what to do again. If I should remarry, I don’t want any complaint from my husband. My people did not believe me because of the doctor’s statement that it’s all imagination and that it is ulcer. That month as I was being taken from one place to another for treatment, I saw very black blood in my pants but they did not believe me. As I am writing now, I am feeling the persistent pain. Help me out please. I read yesterday’s Daily Sun and I saw something similar.
Barren Widow, Bariga, Lagos

Dear Barren Widow,
It is important that none of us should allow our past to hinder our future. Tell any man that’s interested in marrying you your whole story. If he loves you, he’ll go ahead. Unless one thoroughly examines you and puts the history of your troubles into consideration, one cannot do the best by you but with what I have and without examining you, the first diagnosis that comes to mind is endometriosis . The hallmark of this condition is pain – pain during menses, pain at the time of ovulation, pain during sex and inability to get pregnant. In my well-considered opinion and being a knowledgeable person in such matters, your experiences with your sleep and dream state are, most relevant and germane to your problems—they are not imagination or unreal. You were raped—and the experience was real—real enough for you to feel perhaps it was even physical. Any rape case is a complicated case—there’s psychological overlay and lack of confidence in men, to say the least. For it to have happened in your sleep makes one understand that it has spiritual dimensions also. So your human organism is under attack physically(endometriosis), psychologically (confusion) and spiritually(????husband killed). You need professional help at three levels – medically from a gynaecologist or a very well experienced doctor, psychologically from a good psychologist and spiritually from a priest. We can help with all three. If I were to handle your case, I would attribute all your challenges to the rape in the dream and take things from there. Of course you would be treated for any physical diseases (endometriosis currently has no cure, but with God, all things are possible) but it is my considered opinion that any approach to your problems that begins by not believing you or consigning what you experienced to make-belief or imagination in the name of science is bound to fail as they have failed all these 20-odd years.

Miscarriages Ended

Miscarriages Good day doctor. My names are Really Frustrated, 29 years old, married, and I reside in Port Harcourt. I thank God for using you for the help of mankind, I read your question and answer sessions every Thursday and I know you will be a blessing to me. I got married precisely 25th Feb. 2013 and in July I took in. On the 15th of August that same year I started bleeding. I was placed on Primolut for 4 weeks weekly, but on Sept 15th few weeks later I lost the pregnancy. I resigned as a banker because I was told it was stressful and relocated to join my husband. A few months later I took in on the 5th week, I started bleeding again, I was rushed to the clinic and placed on bed rest and later discharged with a weekly injection of Primolut to be taken until it gets to 12 weeks. I took the injections religiously, but on the 19 week I went to urinate and the water wouldn't stop pouring. I was told the amniotic sac was broken and I wasn't due yet. The gynaecologist told me I had to be cleaned up to avoid infection. Doctor Bibbi I cried seriously. I nearly had a heart attack, but thank God for His word. Now I am pregnant again. I need your advice because it is at its early stage and I don't want to take any risk please. This is my ordeal, advice me. This is my mail box, trough which you can reply me, Sir. Thank you. Waiting to read from you. Really Frustrated, Port Harcourt, Rivers Dear Really Frustated, There are physical causes of repeated or habitual (three-in a row) miscarriage; for example, incompetent cervix. Any lady that has miscarried thrice in a row is said to have "Habitual Abortion". There is a professional way to deal with that, and you will need to be checked and examined properly to see you do not have such a condition. There are also psychological/social reasons -- repeated husband battering (God forbid!) is one. Spiritual reasons, though often neglected, are usually very much involved, too. If I were to handle your case, I would probe and treat all three areas -- do you have sex in the dreams for example? See red stuff in the dreams? Have babies in the dreams? Call the helplines and /or send e mail to me doctorbibbi@yahoo.co.uk. There is help for you -- but hurry -- before this new pregnancy is aborted once again. Further advice? Its best to fully investigate the root causes of this so as to allay your fears and bring your pregnancy to term. Please do your due diligence to see a very good doctor/gynaecologist for thorough check-up, a psychologist/psychiatrist and a priest who understands these things. In medical terminology this baby you are carrying is labeled precious baby to help everyone involved in your care to be committed to getting an uneventful pregnancy carried to term and productive of a live healthy baby delivered by spontaneous vaginal delivery. You see, there's help for all --no matter the cause, length and complexity of the challenge with infertility--once you are willing to work at it diligently and factor God into it. I mean we have helped cases with absent menses, ovarian cyst, zero sperm count, unexplained infertility, blocked fallopian tubes, intra-uterine death, fibroids both small and big, failed repeated IVF cases, hormonal imbalance--you name it; any cause! They get their babies, and usually in a very short time, too, compared to the time they have waited. Just call the help lines. I pray for you
