PID or Secondary Amenorrhea?

Dear Dr,
My wife was diagnosed of PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease). She was placed on drugs, which she took religiously. Though the Scan cannot see the Sac containing some fluid which is believed to be PID in her body again. But she has not seen her period for over four months now (even when she is not pregnant) and she is still having a whitish vaginal discharge. How can you help us?
Thank you sir.
T.J. Oscar

Dear T.J
Not seeing her period for 4 months is not PID; it's something else -- Ovarian Cyst(fatness; hairiness like a man --on the chin, chest, lower belly and thighs, infertility, pimples, scanty; atimes missing or heavy menses); Missed Abortion(got pregnant and pregnancy died yet she was ignorant of it); Asherman' Syndrome (over scraped lining of the womb during previous D+C); Hormonal Imbalance (too high prolactin mostly; breastfeeding);Contraceptives (inject able or oral may take time to reverse) and Premature Menopause (hot flashes or heat, breast flatness, lost interest in sex; dry vagina; late 30's) -- these are some half a dozen common sources or causes of secondary amenorrhea -- the loss of menses after a woman has already experienced menses. Another half a dozen -odd causes that are less common and more easily overlooked include --Severe sickness; Skinniness (too thin); Stress(exams, excess fear; severe conflicts etc); Some medications; Sick thyroid gland (hypothyroidism); Too much exercise (athletes; sports); Unknown causes. PID does not cause menses to disappear, okay? Great. Now, whitish Vaginal Discharge is normal to everywoman so long as it is not itchy, smelly or too plenty --- at which times it means disease and needs treatment. Go to www.mediamedix.blogspot.com to access our free report on "Understanding Vaginal Discharge" or e mail us for it. You do not need to be told you need to see a good doctor/gynecologist to sort you out and find what caused your wife's secondary amenorrhea. Hurry
Cheers
