Disease From Dreams? Dear Dr, I have been reading your column for quite some time now. You have some time ago introduced the terms, Peculiar Disease, Strange Disease or Spiritually Inflicted Disease (SIDE). Can you please elucidate? I would like further explanations to understand better. Please help Jaja Mwachukwu, Aba Dear Jaja, I will tell you a few stories. I once had to help a lady and cure her of her arthritis for which she had gotten no relief for about a decade (that is ten years). She had seen good doctors who could not help her but kept giving her treatment for aches and pains; Paracetamol or nothing better than that. After listening to her long story, I examined her and confirmed her diagnosis of Arthritis. I then gave her sample treatment for free lasting one week during which any sufferer of arthritis would have gotten noticeably better and, on that basis be ready to order the full treatment lasting six weeks at full cost. After using the meds she reported she was not any better, at all. I put her now on laboratory testing on another dimension. On a fast, I taught her to ask from God in prayer, “What is going on and Who or what is the cause of it?”. On the fourth night of her fast, she had a dream in which her tenant, a priest in his worship place, climbed upstairs to this woman’s flat, sat at her door mouth and began to pray, in the dead of night, against her. When she told me this dream, I understood that our Spiritual Laboratory testing had profited her. We were dealing with a Dream Inflicted Disease, same thing as the terms you quoted in your question). Treatment based on the findings in the physical, mental (she was a bit anxious about her most depressing condition in which she wasn’t getting well in spite of having been treated by many doctors), and spiritual cured her of her disease and diagnosis of arthritis. Totally. We gave her the former the full course of the arthritis medicines we used for her before; added some counseling and anxiolytics and then added prayer. What was the spiritual treatment , you may ask? Nothing but prayer. But prayer putting her findings in the dream into consideration. Deliverance prayer, in other words. You see a human being is not only body and mind but body, mind and spirit. When disease refuses to disappear, be cured or go into remission using the acceptable physical and mental modalities, it makes sense to look for the cause of the challenge or problem in the spiritual. Most all human beings agree there is a God and that He knows all things. Anybody can pray the recommended prayers above in any way they like –talk to God as if He was in your room (use whatever name or preface ). I am sure you also understand that all human beings dream.
