Thanks for your advice; I’d like to know more. If I see my menses on the 28th of every month, do I take my ovulation to be the 16th of the month? I need a guide on the days and the exact time to meet to get pregnant. Thanks

The exact time to have sex so as to get pregnant, like you have rightly noted, can be easily calculated. The woman releases an egg from her ovary at a certain time of the woman's monthly cycle. This time, when the egg is released newly, is the best time to attempt to get pregnant-- as in best time to have sex-- it is the day of ovulation. This day is usually about 14 days before the next menses or period. Could be anywhere from the 12th to the 16th day. You notice that is about half way through your cycle –and that’s important to take note of. Then, on that day, as the egg is released from the ovary, there is a pain or dull ache the woman feels in her lower abdomen to one side -- corresponding to the time when and the ovary(Left or right) from which the egg has been released. Her discharge from the vagina, for a few days before that time and also on that day, she will notice is plentiful. Aside being plentiful, she will also discover that it is very very drawy -- in fact as drawy as okro or the white of a raw egg. She will feel in her body, the need for a man-- she herself will be feeling like having sex; obviously to make sure that the egg is supplied sperm to do the work of fertilization. She may have some breast changes-- like tenderness, lumpiness and so on; maybe some abdominal cramps and bloatedness just like at menses; she may bleed a little from her vagina -- just enough to be a spot of blood staining the pants-- we call this spotting; her temperature may feel a bit abnormal -- some feel this as coldness; others as hotness. If she can detect from all these signs, that very day, of course it is best to have sex on such a day or about one or two days before or after the said date --this period is known as ovulation period. Apart from these, it is also possible for a woman to detect she is ovulating if she puts her long finger inside herself to feel the cervix and it's texture. Just put one leg on the floor and the other on the toilet seat and insert a finger. The cervix is the structure you will feel deep inside that feels like touching your nose. When you are ovulating, it will be soft; and high up-- your finger may not be able to reach it-- it will also be open and wet. "SHOW"-- Soft High Open and Wet.
