Have Mercy

Dear Doctor,
Compliments of the Day to you. I think you are doing a good job though I just read your column 4 d first time but I believe you are really a Problem Solver.
I am a guy of 23.I am having this problem of Masturbation even at ugly places for years now which I always feel Bad later and hate myself for it. Is it really linked to Spiritual wife? Last year, My Mum took me to a Prophetess on a different thing but she looked at me and said that I have A spiritual wife but i never believe her because I don't believe on all that! But reading your column this morning in Sun Newspaper, I think I really need help on this. the prophet went ahead that I would have pasted the stage I am now but the spiritual Wife or whatever will not allow me. My Financial state is not fine...My relationship never works out but currently, at present, I am leveling my best in making one work out by the special Grace of God...My Religious life not Better...My academic Life is not okay too. At times I wonder if truly I deserve living. I pray you will have time to respond to this message because I know you have other matters to attend to but know this your Advise will really save a life because my life is truly and really in a mes

Dear Frank,
Well, let all others read and learn. It is this compulsive aspect; this spiritual aspect of what looks so harmless that makes masturbators sometimes prefer it to sex with their spouses--spirit spouse manipulation!!! It is what makes truly godly people eschew and decry masturbation. You'll need to go for deliverance -- and then make up your mind "never again". Of course, you can also see a psychologist-- one who understands these things; okay? Finally run away from those contacts and things that led you into the quagmire of masturbation in the first place. You can inquire for our weekend -- cure programme for masturbators who really want to be free by sending me an e mail through doctorbibbi05@yahoo.co.nz.

SammyLee, Sabongida Ora; Edo
Dear Sammy,
What you describe sounds like cancer-- classically, there is anorexia, anemia and cachexia.-- that is, loss of appetite; less than enough blood, and weight loss. Very likely, he stepped on (spiritual) poison. Get water. Pray Psalms 51 to 64 into it seven times. And from then, pray the same once daily into the water. Let him use the water always -- to dress the wound; wash it and so on and so forth. Add more water as it diminishes with use. Begin to use honey to dress the wound. Get the priest to pray for him. Fast 3 days a week for his life. Take him for deliverance --but do not stop his medications. I repeat -- do not , because you are preaying abandon medical help-- use his drugs for him;okay? Usually in these types of cases, if nothing proper is done the patient not only loses weight but may begin and continue to diminish in size mysteriously till they expire. Send me weekly feedback. You can send for my address if you want me on the case--actually, God taught us to get results in these types of funny cases. You will not lose him, in Jesus Name; Amen

What Is Fiber?

Dear Dr,
There has been a lot of talk of fiber in the media in recent times and I just felt you could help throw more light on it.Thank You
Francis, Abuja

Dear Francis,
Fiber is a virtually indigestible substance that is found mainly in the outer layers of plants. Fiber is a special type of carbohydrate that passes through the human digestive system virtually unchanged, without being broken down into nutrients. Carbohydrates constitute the main source of energy for all body functions.Almost everyone hears about the need for enough fiber in the diet. But few people understand the importance of dietary fiber - or where to get it. Fiber is important because it has an influence on the digestion process from start to finish: Because it demands that food be more thoroughly chewed, fiber slows down the eating process and helps contribute to a feeling of being full, which in turn can help prevent obesity from overeating. Fiber makes food more satisfying, probably because the contents of the stomach are bulkier and stay there longer. Fiber slows digestion and absorption so that glucose (sugar) in food enters the bloodstream more slowly, which keeps blood sugar on a more even level. Fiber is broken down in the colon (the main part of the large intestine) by bacteria (a process called fermentation), and the simple organic acids produced by this breakdown helps to nourish the lining of the colon. These acids also provide fuel for the rest of the body, especially the liver, and may have an important role in metabolism. Substantial amounts of fiber can be found in foods such as:
All-natural cereals Whole-grain breads Beans Fruits Vegetables Nuts. Nice To Know: Only plants produce fiber. No matter how chewy or "tough" animal products may be, they do not contain fiber - not even bones or eggshells. There are two main types of fiber, and they have different effects on the body:Insoluble fiber is mainly made up of plant cell walls, and it cannot be dissolved in water. It has a good laxative action. Soluble fiber is made up of polysaccharides (carbohydrates that contain three or more molecules of simple carbohydrates), and it does dissolve in water. It has a beneficial effect on body chemistry, such as lowering blood cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Nice To Know: Dietary fiber is essentially the cell walls of plants. Cell walls provide the architecture or skeleton of a plant and serve several purposes: They enclose and package the nutritious parts of the plant, especially the storage organs that are rich in starch, and the parts of the cells that contain sugars, vitamins, and minerals. They provide a tough protective armor around the embryo of the future plant. The simple reason fibre is indigestible is that human beings do not produce the enzyme cellulase which you need to digest plant (cell wall) matter. The upshot? Take lots of fruits and vegetables for much easier digestion, and to have better bowel movements or better alimntarey function which also means plenty of stools to pass and less constipation.

Can you give me a list of foods to avoid so that I will not become fat? Are there any foods that will help me to become slim? I’ll really appreciate it if you can help me with this question. Thank you
John-Joh, Kebbi
Dear John-Joh,
Dr.Gabriel Mirkin (www.drmirkin.com) has published a list which I’ll just bring to you directly.Enjoy--Study Identifies Foods That Make You Fat

Researchers followed 120,877 U.S. women and men, free of chronic diseases and not obese at baseline, from 1986-2006. The relationships between changes in lifestyle factors and weight change were evaluated at four-year intervals (N Engl J Med, June 23, 2011;364:2392-2404). In each four-year period, participants gained an average of 3.35 lb. Weight gain was most strongly associated with the following foods:

FOODS THAT MAKE YOU FAT:
• French fries (3.35 lb)
• potato chips (1.69 lb)
• boiled, baked, or mashed potatoes (0.57 lb)
• all non-water drinks except milk (includes artificial sweetened drinks):
• sugar-sweetened beverages (1.00 lb)
• fruit juices (about 1 lb)
• unprocessed red meats (0.95 lb)
• processed meats (0.93 lb)
• sweets and desserts (0.41 lb per serving per day)
• flour (0.39 lb per serving per day)

• quitting smoking (new quitters, 5.17 lb; former smokers, 0.14 lb)

Now, apart from these foods, we can help you with both weight loss and weight gain. There are very effective food supplements that we can make available to you for a fee that will adjust your weight either up or down, whichever you prefer. Save my Soul --From Staphylococcus

Dear Sir,
Thanks for helping people to solve their health problems. I have been going through problems with staphylococcus since last year. I have used all kinds of drugs but it goes for some days just to rear its ugly head again. I have suffered from all kinds of pain and trauma, especially so, after reading that it can lead to the dreaded virus. I guessed I got it from a mobile toilet in one of these parks when travelling from Lagos to Abuja.

It produces yellow discharge and sometimes, brown colour discharge. Please Doc, I need your utmost and permanent help that will get rid of this problem in my life. It is really life threatening.

Thank you sir,
Traumatised Lady.

Dear Traumatised Lady,

Yes we easily solve Staph problems through education and counselling as well as medication and other treatment modalities --sometimes prayers along -- and Thank God we get really wonderful results. Learn however, that staphylococccus is not a virus but a bacterium. Again, you do not get staph from toilets -- you get it from your own very self -- from your skin where it resides; causing no problems until certain factors trigger it to. You can access for free all you need to know about Staph by e mailing me at staphdoctor@yahoo.com or doctorbibbi@yahoo.co.uk

Secondary Infertility

Dear Doctor,

I'm a lady in her mid 30s,though I have grown up kid but I still look forward to having again but I'm yet to conceive and I don't know what might be the problem. I even went for scan and it shows that I don't have a fibroid or cyst and my doctor said I should come for X-rays. I still have a big tummy and I read in one of your replies to people's problem that we can use herb to flatten one's tummy. I'll be very grateful if you can prescribe them to me. Also, my period normally runs for 28 days before but now I can't even say this is the time I'll menstruate. Like that of November-- I saw it on the 3rd of November but I didn't see that of December until 6th of December. Please, I'll be very grateful if you can put me through so I'll know what actually went wrong with me. Anticipating your reply.

Hope Ladeebo, Oyo

Dear Hope,

Big tummy means obesity --very likely. Now obese men have low sperm count; obese women are less fertile than normal; so I commend your plan to tackle obesity-- it may be just that factor that needs to be corrected to get you pregnant from secondary infertility. You see, obesity is associated with what is called Polycystic Ovarian Cyst Syndrome which is a cause of infertility --the women do not ovulate like normal. If your normal 28 days is changing and becoming longer it could be one of 2 things -- you are either getting pregnant or having early miscarriages or you are facing increased infertility. Now only a very good doctor/gynaecologist can really sort you out; this matter is not a matter for e mail; what actually went wrong cannot be diagnosed by just guesswork-- without actually seeing, listening to and examining you. Remember; age is not on your side-- women get less fertile as they grow older -- I beg you to get up and go and see a profession now-- before it is too late. The tummy? They'll deal with it, too.

Cheers

Persisting Fever

Dear Doctor,
I have been reading your column in the Daily Sun of tuesdays edition ,therfore i need your help .I have this problem of pains all over my left and right abdomen occasioned with fever. Then a swimming movement like worm from my head to my toe inbetween flesh, and intermitent itching inside my stomach. Finally lightening movement inbetween my eye ball in form of breaking the membrane in parts.I have gone for tests and the result has always been typhoid and malaria which i have always teated with the prescribed drugs but the problem persists.Doctor, please help and God bless you.
LHJOR,Asaba, Delta
Dear LHJOR,
Yes, the fever connected withthe weird -seeming symptoms make typhoid very likely. Malaria? Well if you are not careful nowadays, ordibnary malaria will floor even the doctor, not to talk of laity. You see, treatment of malaria must be combination; and artemisinin based. It's called ACT. Atemisinin-based; combined therapy. Meaning? Use atleast 2 drugs -- let one be Artemisinin. I use Camoquine and Artemisinin. Works wonders. If you don't treat malaria that way; expect funny relapses like yours. Typhoid generally refuses to go when it's not treated for long enough--- like this letter i'm quoting here also shows: "Good day doctor, and i want to commend you on the good job you've been doing.about a year ago i found out i used to have headaches,i ignored it,later i found out i used to feel cold unusually, followed by stomach upsets, but later i started to lose weight without falling sick and as a result of that i had body pains and weakness,so after visiting a hospital and running some tests they said i had typhoid, after been admitted and treated for some days,i added a little weight, but barely 2 weeks after everything has started again i.e losing weight unusually and the rest of them.please advice me and send back to my box.GOD bless". Treatment must not be less than 2 weeks. As you can see, that is the first mistake this latter writer has made--treats for a few days, gets better and stops treatment -- only for the problem to return. Like I said treatment used to be at least 2 weeks. These days -- and in these your cases I'd treat for at least 3. If, however, after proper treatment as outlined above, there is still no improvement, there is a herbal medication that I have found very practically useful for both malaria and typhoid together --actually it is simple and excellent -- I myself having used it with good effect. It is called "Ableria". Send to us for free info on how to easily obtain it or go to our website-- www.mediamedix.blogspot.com.
